Te Mata Estate Pinot Noir Estate Vineyards 2020

Radiant cherry-red, Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’20 dazzles with raspberries, peonies, oolong tea and manuka honey. Single Vineyard wine from the Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Vineyard in the Dartmoor Valley sub-region.

Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’20 was harvested between 26 February and 9 March 2020 from Te Mata Estate’s own vineyards in Woodthorpe Terraces.

The individual lots were each destemmed and given a traditional warm-plunged fermentation. The resulting wines underwent extended maceration on skins before pressing. The separate wines were then run to a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques for 11 months’ maturation.
